Web Resource Project
Each year the Department of Language Education at the University of Georgia sponsors the Georgia Children's Book Awards Program. As the Media Specialist at Bowman Elementary, I have participated in this program for the last three years with our students and teachers. In an effort to tie this program in with my class project for ELAN 7310, I have chosen to read as many of the 2002-2003 nominees for the Children's Book Award as possible. In addition, I have attempted to create an online web resource for teachers and/or students to use as they are reading these books. The links I've provided provide information about particular subjects within each book. It is my hope that this resource will be used as a form of extension activity for each book.
